Under the management of the State and local authorities, the Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces Museum is owned by the family of People's Armed Forces Hero Tran Van Lai (a revolutionary activist under the guise of billionaire Mai Hong Que, Nam USOM - contractor of the Independence Palace).

This is also the only museum in Vietnam about the Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces.

Currently, the Museum displays 7 valuable collections of artifacts with more than 300 artifacts and photo documents associated with each stage of revolutionary activities of Mr. Tran Van Lai and the Saigon Special Forces.

Specifically, the collection of secret bunkers containing weapons and hiding places; the collection of vehicles used by the Special Forces soldiers for travel and activities; the collection of weapons; household items associated with the activities of the Saigon Special Forces; the collection of production tools and equipment of the Hero of the People's Armed Forces Tran Van Lai (Mai Hong Que) in the guise of a contractor for the Independence Palace; the collection of communication equipment....

Mr. Tran Trong Nghia, Director of Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces Museum Limited Company, said that in the coming time, along with searching and collecting artifacts, the museum will continue to build towards digitization for better storage.

All museum data will be digitized using modern tools such as 3D, VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) to recreate important events and spaces related to the Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces.

In addition, the Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces Museum and historical relics of the Saigon Special Forces, together with the system of museums in the city, especially museums on revolutionary wars, will connect to regularly organize activities and exhibitions on the value of artifact collections and exchange and study with historical witnesses.

In addition, the Museum also coordinates with the public and non-publiceducation system of the whole country, actively contributing to the education of history in a visual and vivid way, helping the young generation and all classes of people better understand the patriotic tradition of the nation, strengthen the education of revolutionary ideals, and cultivate love for the homeland and country.

The Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces Museum is the sixth non-public museum in the city. The museum is currently a favorite cultural and historical destination for Ho Chi Minh City residents, especially young people and foreign tourists; located in a chain of satellite relics of the Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces Traditional House.

The birth of the museum is not only the joy of the family of People's Armed Forces Hero Tran Van Lai but also the common joy of the cultural sector in the city and the whole country.

After the announcement ceremony, the Saigon-Gia Dinh Special Forces Museum officially came into operation. Opening hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. However, the Museum Management Board will arrange flexible hours when visitors request to visit in advance.
