Speaking at the opening of the program, journalist Nguyen Van Ba, Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper, said: 2024 is the year the country celebrates important events: 70 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory, 70 years of Liberation of the Capital, 80 years of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army. The brilliant milestones of history have urged the program makers to tell a story through music with revolutionary songs bearing the mark of a glorious and glorious time of the nation, to see the value of independence, to be more grateful to the previous generation - those who will live forever in our hearts.

“Today, in the honored music space, 'What remains forever' will not only be a place to preserve and revive beautiful, heroic sounds but also contribute to creating Vietnamese values in the hearts of international friends. We are proud to international friends not only because of the golden history but also because of the path that millions of Vietnamese people are joining hands to create Vietnam - a peaceful , prosperous and beautiful land", journalist Nguyen Van Ba emphasized.

After the flag-raising performance with the Vietnamese National Anthem - an indispensable ritual of the national concert "What remains forever", the program brought the audience to melodies imbued with pride, opening with "Praise to President Ho" (composer: Van Cao, performed by: Kosmos Opera Choir)....

At “What remains forever 2024”, many popular songs about Hanoi were also performed, such as: Se ve Thu do (Huy Du), Tien ve Ha Noi (Van Cao) performed by singer Vu Thang Loi and the Kosmos Opera Choir; Nguoi Ha Noi (Nguyen Dinh Thi) sung by Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc.

The program ended with beautiful melodies and lyrics filled with love for the homeland of the work My Homeland Vietnam (Do Nhuan) arranged by musician Tran Manh Hung for the symphony orchestra with the harmony of all the artists performing in the program.

Over the years of organization, beyond the framework of a concert program, “What remains forever” has become a special event to express gratitude for the sacrifices of previous generations and to convey faith and aspiration in the triumph of the Vietnamese people on the path to the future.
