Located in a depression in the Ba Den mountain range (in Binh Minh ward, Tay Ninh province), Ma Thien Lanh possesses a wild mountain landscape with fresh, cool air. Therefore, this place has become a familiar destination for mountain climbing, picnicking and nature exploration activities of local people as well as tourists from all over.

The restaurant owner asked the reporter to turn the car around with a harsh attitude.

However, for many years now, there has been a restaurant at the entrance to the valley. According to reports, the owner of this establishment often prevents visitors from parking on the asphalt road in front if they do not use the food service. It is worth noting that this is a public road and parking on the roadside does not violate the law, does not obstruct traffic or affect anyone's business or daily life.

The smelly garbage dump right behind the restaurant

To verify the incident, on October 8, the reporter was present at Ma Thien Lanh. When he had just parked his car on the side of the road to go to work, a restaurant employee approached and asked him to move the car to the foot of the slope, saying "the restaurant owner told him to do so".

The reporter questioned the fact that this was a public road and there were no signs prohibiting parking, but the employee maintained his request. After speaking on the phone, the restaurant owner said that parking like that would prevent other customers from entering the restaurant and asked the reporter to move the car to the opposite side of the road and turn the car around to face out.

The shop was built temporarily near the road into the valley.

On the morning of October 20, when the reporter returned to this location, the same situation happened again. Just after parking and walking a few steps, the owner called back and asked to turn the car around like last time. This person explained with a harsh attitude: “Because this land of the restaurant is mine. You have done it twice, you can't joke with me. You have to ask me if you want to park. Because this land is our land. But for example, if you come in, you park, please park on one side for me, if you park like that, my customers will have no place to park. You park for free, and my customers park to support my restaurant.”

According to actual records, the existence and location of this restaurant is a disadvantage. The restaurant is temporarily built, almost blocking part of the entrance to the valley, forcing visitors to follow the length of the restaurant. The temporary corrugated iron toilet area and a stinking garbage dump right behind the restaurant cause loss of aesthetics and environmental pollution, creating an unpleasant image for anyone who wants to explore the beauty known as "Da Lat of Tay Ninh ".

Toilet and bathroom areas are unsightly.

Talking to reporters about this issue, Head of the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area Tran Thai Nam said: "Previously, the Ward People's Committee invited households to work on construction issues in this area but the people did not comply. In the near future, the land officials will advise the Ward People's Committee and establish an inspection team to work specifically."

Tay Ninh has identified tourism as a key economic sector with many efforts to invest in infrastructure to attract tourists. In that context, the existence of a shabby business establishment, arbitrarily occupying public space and obstructing tourists at an attractive destination like Ma Thien Lanh is creating a negative image. It is thought that functional sectors and local authorities need to have measures to intervene and handle the situation thoroughly to protect a civilized and sustainable tourism environment./.
