Persistent, enduring contributions
In the Vietnamese sports world, Mr. Do Quang Hien (Bau Hien) is associated with the image of an enthusiastic and generous sponsor. He is willing to invest in many different sports, from men's football, women's football to table tennis - fields that require perseverance and less commercial halo. Not only that, after each time a coach or athlete achieves high results, Mr. Hien also generously rewards them to promptly encourage and honor those efforts.
However, what makes this “boss” different is his compassion that always goes hand in hand with his professional work. As a sportsman, he not only sets the goal of winning medals but also proactively fulfills his social responsibility, ready to support people. Typically, Boss Hien never abandons any athlete when they encounter difficulties in life or career, and the story of table tennis player Le Dinh Duc is the clearest proof of that philosophy.

In 2013, Le Dinh Duc - a young talent discovered and trained by Mr. Hien's Hanoi T&T club - suddenly fell into a critical condition due to idiopathic ankylosing spondylitis. That deadly disease threatened to take away the ability to move and put an end to the sports career of the 14-year-old boy.
In the face of that incident, Mr. Hien clearly demonstrated his responsibility as a sports leader to the community: he decided to sponsor all medical expenses and accompany Duc in the fierce fight against the disease, despite the possibility that Duc might never return to professional competition.
“By all means, Duc must be treated. Even if Duc cannot compete in the future, we must help him walk and live like a normal person,” Mr. Hien made the decision without hesitation.
This decision gave Le Dinh Duc a "miracle" - a second chance to return to normal life and continue to nurture his sports dream.

Not only providing medical support, Mr. Hien also paid special attention to encouraging Le Dinh Duc's spirit, helping him maintain his faith. During Duc's treatment, the coaching staff and teammates at Hanoi T&T Club (now CAND T&T Club) were always there, under the guidance of Mr. Hien.
They not only supported Duc to overcome daily difficulties - from moving to rehabilitation - but also gave him the strength to not give up on fate. "I will return to the table tennis table, I will not give up on this dream", Duc told himself during the difficult days, and that flame of hope was lit by both his own will and the great encouragement from those around him.
The “seeds” of hope that Mr. Hien had sown have borne fruit. After three years of persistent treatment and rehabilitation, Le Dinh Duc was not only able to walk normally but also return to competitive level.
He gradually achieved impressive successes: together with teammate Dinh Anh Hoang, Duc set a record of 6 consecutive years of winning the men's doubles championship at national tournaments; by 2025, he continued to shine, contributing to helping the CAND T&T Club win the men's team championship for the first time at the National Championship, marking the rise of a new force in Vietnamese table tennis.

Sending a message of faith
The story of the Dak Nong boy overcoming adversity has become a strong source of inspiration for his teammates and the younger generation in the T&T and CAND T&T table tennis teams. Many young players look to Duc's example to learn the spirit of overcoming difficulties, and fans clearly feel the value of humanity in sports.
By helping Duc revive his career, Mr. Hien has implicitly sent a message of faith: no challenge is insurmountable when we receive sharing and determination.
Mr. Hien’s dedication to Le Dinh Duc’s case is just one of his many silent contributions to Vietnamese sports. Under his guidance, clubs sponsored by T&T Group have persisted in the policy of discovering and training young talents across the country.
Faces like Tran Mai Ngoc (Binh Duong), Dinh Anh Hoang (Dak Lak) or Le Dinh Duc (Dak Nong) were all given opportunities by Mr. Hien to rise from local circumstances to shine in the national arena. By doing so, he planted in the hearts of young athletes the hope that they will always have opportunities, as long as they have determination and someone is willing to support them.
In the context of high-performance sports often under pressure for medals, Mr. Hien's way of doing things stands out as a symbol of social responsibility and compassion. Experts say his success is created by the harmonious combination of "Tam" (strategic vision) and "Tam" (kind heart) in the way he builds his team. It is this balance that helps Mr. Hien's contributions bring sustainable results. That also inspires many people working in sports to join hands to spread humanistic values for a sustainable development of sports.
