(Dan Tri) - A 4-year-old girl in rural China attracts 21 million online followers thanks to her adorable everyday moments.

Yaoyao's family lives in a village in Tongren, Guizhou Province, China. Her parents started sharing videos of her daily life on social media in 2021.

A year later, Yaoyao became famous after a video recorded the moment she cried in the middle of the night and was comforted by her mother.

Yaoyao’s everyday photos, featuring her chubby cheeks and funny expressions, have gone viral on Chinese social media. To date, her account has posted 460 videos, attracted 580 million likes and 21 million followers.

People love Yaoyao for her adorable personality (Photo Weibo).

In early February, a food show produced by CCTV brought Yaoyao into the spotlight. Wearing a flower-patterned life jacket and with a face smeared with dirt from playing, she introduced two specialties from her hometown of Guizhou.

Yaoyao not only attracts guests on the show but also a large audience watching on television and social platforms.

"The little girl is like a seasoned artist, even though she is only 4 years old, she creates a relaxing feeling for the viewer," commented one netizen.

Another viewer expressed admiration for Yaoyao, saying: "I wonder what she eats to bring her such happiness every day."

Many viewers were drawn to the girl's innocence, describing the videos as "healing."

Several Chinese celebrities, such as actors Sun Yi and Zhang Yixing, have also expressed their admiration for Yaoyao. They have met her in person and taken photos together.

Yaoyao's mother did not let her go to kindergarten because she did not trust rural kindergartens (Photo Weibo).

However, some people are concerned why Yaoyao's parents do not send her to kindergarten like many of her peers.

"You let her play every day without worrying. But don't you care about her studies? Do you just treat your daughter as a cash cow?", one person asked.

In a livestream, Yaoyao's mother explained that the decision not to send her daughter to kindergarten stemmed from their distrust of rural kindergartens.

"We plan to buy a house in the city and send Yaoyao to kindergarten in the city in the second half of 2025. We have hired a private tutor to teach her some basic knowledge," she said.

Despite concerns, many Chinese netizens remain fascinated by Yaoyao's videos.

"She cured my anxiety. What an angel!", one viewer commented.

"I hope our 'daughter' grows up healthy and happy. I hope her image is not tarnished by any misfortune," another person wrote.
