Along with the efforts to carry out the noble mission of taking care of people's health, in recent times, Vinh City General Hospital has actively implemented a series of charitable activities as a way to spread love and share with the community.
The “Zero-VND Fair” organized by the Hospital in collaboration with philanthropists is one of a series of practical activities to support patients. Accordingly, 300 gifts were given to patients in difficult circumstances. The small gifts are not only material support, but also sincere encouragement to add spiritual motivation to help them confidently overcome their illness.
The “Reading Station for Children” program in the hospital campus is a small, colorful space dedicated to the sick children – a place where there are gentle stories being read, familiar folk games; and lots of love so that the children can forget the pain of illness and truly be children.
Gratitude to the generation of fathers and brothers
Recently, the young generation - members and youth of the Hospital continued the tradition by visiting and giving gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Nghe An Mental and Neurological Wounded War Rehabilitation Center. The delegation brought warm performances, simple gifts and the presence of young people in the medical industry, creating emotional moments, connecting generations.
Mr. Nguyen Thieu Lam - Director of Nghe An Wounded and Psychiatric Nursing Area shared: “When the program was proposed, the wounded and sick soldiers here looked forward to it every day. The presence of members of Vinh City General Hospital, Hope Club, TikToker Ho Khac Vinh and the Herman Barbershop haircut group not only brought joy but also rekindled heroic memories - the years when the soldiers lived and fought for national peace . The program contained many emotions, was full of love and was truly precious.”
The spirit of solidarity, sharing and continuing the tradition of patriotism has encouraged the young generation of the medical industry to continuously organize many other meaningful programs, contributing to spreading humanistic values and upholding the oath to serve public health.
Accompanying dialysis patients
Continuing the series of meaningful volunteer journeys, the program “Accompanying dialysis patients” returns with a new look - warm, close and full of humanity. There, each gentle song soothes the pain, each simple but delicate exercise movement with experts helps patients relax their body and mind.
And more than anything, it is the stories of overcoming adversity from “insiders” that have ignited hope, strongly inspired patients in the same situation and spread throughout the community.
Sharing about the practical charity programs that the Hospital is implementing, Master, BSCKI Vu Dinh Ba - Deputy Director of Vinh City General Hospital confided: "We not only strive to build a prestigious and modern medical examination and treatment facility, but also aspire to create a solid spiritual support for the community - where modern medicine and compassion go hand in hand to heal both the body and soul of the sick".
