Proactively innovate technology for integration
Dong Nai is among the provinces and cities with the most developed economy in the country, with an important strategic position in the Southern key economic region with many advantages in attracting investment, developing industry, trade, services, etc. Therefore, the requirements for developing science , technology, digital transformation, and innovation must be faster and more sustainable to keep up with the common development needs of the country, region, and world.
Director of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - Ho Chi Minh City branch Tran Ngoc Liem commented that Dong Nai is currently the locality with the largest number of industrial parks in the country. In the current context of integration, local enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, must change their awareness, focus on technology development, promote production, and green growth. There is no other way but for enterprises to access information technology, apply it to business to keep up with new trends, as well as improve competitiveness when integrating internationally.
Nowadays, many markets in the world have higher requirements for imported goods. The application of technology is no longer optional but mandatory to contribute to promoting green production, developing a circular economy, and meeting the increasingly high standards of major export markets in the world.
CEO of Eco Technology 2A Joint Stock Company Nguyen Cong An (Bien Hoa city) expressed that enterprises exporting Dong Nai's key products including coffee, rubber, and wood will have more opportunities to export to the EU market when meeting green production standards and environmental protection criteria. This forces enterprises to focus on technological innovation.
Enterprises need to gradually implement digital transformation and modernize the supply chain. This is a strong driving force to modernize the management system, apply technological solutions such as: WebGIS, garden positioning application, product tracking system using QR code, Blockchain...

Strengthening local support
In addition to the efforts and initiatives from enterprises in promoting science, technology, digital transformation and innovation, functional agencies and local governments need to strengthen solutions to encourage and support enterprises to invest in modern technology, gradually participating in the global product supply chain. At the same time, concretize the goals of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, etc.
At the Workshop on Deploying Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Orientation for Applying Science and Technology to Production and Management at Enterprises in late May 2025, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran The Vinh shared that developing science, technology, and digital transformation is no longer a choice, but a must. Especially for Dong Nai province, one of the localities with leading industrial potential in the South, if they are slow in digital transformation and applying science and technology, enterprises will slow down in the global value chain.
According to Mr. Tran The Vinh, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW has identified science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as breakthrough drivers for rapid and sustainable development. To ensure implementation of the Resolution's objectives and the action programs and plans of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation, Dong Nai is studying policies to support businesses in digital transformation and technological innovation, focusing on developing strategic infrastructure, identifying key technology areas to attract investment.
The Department of Science and Technology will focus on developing high-quality human resources and talents to meet the requirements of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation development; strongly promote science, technology, innovation and digital transformation activities in enterprises. At the same time, strengthen international cooperation in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.
Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung emphasized that Dong Nai always focuses on creating a favorable environment for businesses to develop sustainably, especially in technological innovation and digital transformation application in production and business activities. The province will accompany, support and create all favorable conditions for businesses in implementing initiatives and applying advanced science and technology in production and business activities.
