During the meeting, Ms. Elizabeth Leysen, Executive Director of the Aquitara Impact Fund 1, stated that in the period 2025-2035, the Aquitara Fund is carrying out key tasks in Vietnam such as: supporting the remediation of Agent Orange/dioxin in contaminated areas, while promoting care and support for victims; and developing green, modern, and sustainable economic infrastructure.

In particular, in the field of eco-industrial park development, the Aquitara Fund is interested in the strategic plan that Dong Nai province has outlined and is seeking investment for. The Fund is nearing its goal of disbursing 25 million euros in 2025 for the remediation of Agent Orange/dioxin contamination, with the remaining 75 million euros to be disbursed as needed in the following year.
The Aquitara Foundation appreciates the attention, guidance, and support from provincial leaders at all levels, as well as from units interested in cooperating with domestic and international partners in operating this industrial park. This is especially true for businesses currently operating industrial parks in the province, with the aim of attracting FDI from Belgium, the Schengen Area (comprising 27 European countries), and the EU (European Union).

During the meeting, representatives from several infrastructure businesses shared information about the potential, strengths, and development policies of industrial parks in Dong Nai, especially the plan to develop eco-industrial parks in the province. They also expressed their willingness to cooperate in developing green industrial parks in Dong Nai.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Industrial Park Management Board, Duong Thi Xuan Nuong, stated that Dong Nai currently has 37 established industrial parks, some of which are aiming to develop eco-industrial parks. The leaders of Dong Nai province are always ready to connect with and welcome businesses with resources to invest and collaborate with businesses in the province, contributing to the promotion of Dong Nai's industrial development.
The Aquitara Impact Fund 1, established in 2024 in Brussels, Belgium, has many years of experience in investing in and applying modern technology to treat Agent Orange contamination. It participated in the remediation of Agent Orange at Bien Hoa Airport from 2020-2022, achieving over 99% soil cleanup.
