Dong Nai Children's Hospital conducts first aid training in the community

Dong Nai Children's Hospital has just organized a first aid training course in the community at Hoang Duc Autism Education Center (Tan Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City).

At the training session, doctors and nurses instructed teachers and staff of the center on how to perform first aid for respiratory arrest due to drowning; and how to handle foreign body aspiration in children. These included techniques such as: mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, external cardiac compressions with proper technique, ensuring timely supply of oxygen and blood to the brain; back patting and chest compressions for infants and Heimlich for older children and adults when choking on foreign bodies.

Teachers and staff of the center practice directly on the simulation model. Thereby, mastering the process, improving the ability to respond in real situations.
