Dong Thap Provincial Military-Civilian Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

DTO - In the atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on April 27, Dong Thap Military-Civilian Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary (April 27, 2005 - April 27, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Kieu The Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Colonel Nguyen Huu Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, along with leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors and hospital staff, doctors and nurses from different periods.

Dong Thap Provincial Military-Civilian Hospital was established on April 27, 2005, operating under the mechanism of a public service unit, directly under the Provincial Military Command, managed and professionally guided by the Provincial Department of Health . The hospital is responsible for examining and treating soldiers, local people, neighboring areas and patients from Cambodia.

After 20 years of construction and development, the hospital is now a grade III general hospital, with some departments meeting grade II standards. The staff, physicians, doctors, and employees are trained in a basic and comprehensive manner; the facilities and medical equipment are increasingly modern, with a scale of 200 inpatient beds, 16 departments and functional rooms, 235 officers, civil servants, and workers (including 56 doctors, including 3 level II specialists and 19 level I specialists). On average, the hospital receives 900 - 1,200 patients for examination and treatment every day, the bed utilization rate is always above 80%.

Since 2013, the hospital has promoted socialization, notably successfully implementing artificial kidney dialysis services, creating favorable conditions for patients to receive treatment right in the locality. With a spirit of dedication, solidarity and professional prestige, the hospital has affirmed its own identity, promoting the tradition of an exemplary military-civilian medical unit.

Colonel Nguyen Huu Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Dong Thap Provincial Military Command spoke at the Commemoration Ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Dong Thap Provincial Military Command praised the achievements of the hospital's staff, doctors and nurses, and hoped that in the coming time, the team of doctors and nurses will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, medical ethics, and morality, constantly innovate and improve the quality of health care for soldiers and people.
