Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance aims to attract 3,000 new participants

According to Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance (SHI), the unit is promoting activities to develop more participants in social insurance and health insurance with the theme "60 days of acceleration - Completing the target of developing participants in social insurance and health insurance by 2025". The program aims to spread messages about the meaning of social security policies such as: "Social insurance, health insurance - Where trust is guaranteed, life is more secure", "Participating in health insurance - Small actions, great meaning", encouraging people to proactively protect their health and future income.

Records at the Central Post Offices and Social Insurance agencies of wards and communes show that the units have simultaneously deployed mobile consulting teams to residential areas, neighborhood groups, traditional markets, boarding houses, places with a high concentration of freelance workers, small businesses and groups of vulnerable people in terms of social security.

The consulting groups directly answer questions, guide procedures, introduce the State's support packages for voluntary social insurance participants, and provide information on flexible payment methods and benefits when participating in family health insurance.

On the first day of the campaign, the entire system set a target of mobilizing about 3,000 new participants. This is considered an important starting step, aiming for the goal of 60 peak days to develop an additional 16,000 voluntary social insurance participants and 350,000 family health insurance participants in 2025.

A representative of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance said that promoting the development of voluntary social insurance and family health insurance participants is a key solution to expand social security coverage in the area.

Voluntary social insurance helps freelance workers, small businesses and those who do not work in the area with labor contracts to still enjoy pensions and health insurance when they retire. Meanwhile, family health insurance contributes to reducing medical examination and treatment costs, helping people proactively take care of their health and limit financial risks when they are sick.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Social Security, bringing social security policies closer to the people is not only the task of the management agency but also the responsibility of the community, contributing to building a sustainable society and ensuring "no one is left behind".
