If you are bored with fatty meat dishes, try pickling red radishes in the following way as a side dish. Pickled red radishes have a sour, sweet, fresh and crunchy taste, and are very beautiful. This way of pickling radishes is quick, convenient and delicious. Housewives can use it to entertain guests or eat it in daily meals.
Ingredient:
- 200g red radish
- 25g sugar
- 20g white vinegar
- Adequate amount of honey
- Salt
Making:
Step 1: Wash the radish, remove the stems and leaves. Place two chopsticks on both sides of the radish, then use a knife to slice each piece about 5mm thick. Be careful not to cut all the way to the bottom of the radish, stop when the knife touches the chopsticks.
Rotate the radish 90 degrees and continue to slice thinly as before. The result is radish sticks that are still attached to the bottom.
After slicing, soak the radish in water.
Step 2: Once all the radishes are sliced, remove them and drain. Arrange the radishes in a box. Sprinkle salt on the radishes, making sure to rub the salt evenly between the cuts, and marinate for 5 minutes.
Pour off the brine that flows from the radish. Add sugar and mix well. Add 20g of white vinegar and an appropriate amount of honey and mix well.
Cover the box and put it in the refrigerator, marinate for 1 day.

Note that the container for pickling radishes should be rinsed with boiling water before use, then wiped dry before pickling the radishes.
