Tri Ton District Party Secretary Lam Thanh Si inspects the progress of house construction in 3 localities

On May 13, Tri Ton District Party Secretary Lam Thanh Si led a delegation of the Steering Committee for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tri Ton district to inspect the construction progress in Tri Ton town, Co To and Ba Chuc.

Up to now, Tri Ton town has completed 42/63 houses, the remaining houses are 80% or more under construction; Co To town has completed 62/170 houses, 108 are under construction, progress from 60 - 90%; Ba Chuc town has completed 132/170 houses, 38 are under construction, progress from 50 - 90%.

During the implementation process, localities encountered some difficulties. A few households still had the mentality of waiting and relying on State support sources, and had not promoted the spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance, and mobilized internal resources to build their own houses. On the other hand, despite propaganda, some households were influenced by customs and practices, and had to consider the date and age when building a house. In addition, construction contractors were simultaneously constructing many projects, which affected the construction progress...

Through a field survey, Tri Ton District Party Secretary Lam Thanh Si requested local leaders, especially members of the temporary and dilapidated house removal program, to regularly monitor and remind households, urge construction contractors to speed up construction progress, ensure 3 rigidities and strive to complete all houses by the end of May 2025 at the latest. For completed houses, quickly disburse the remaining 30% of the funds to the people and promptly complete the settlement documents.

As of May 13, communes and towns in Tri Ton district have started construction of 1,336 houses under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses (achieving 100% of the plan) and have completed 886 houses. Of which, the group of houses for families with meritorious services has been completed and handed over 39/39 houses. There are 4 communes that have completed the program and organized a ceremony to hand over houses to people, including: Luong Phi, Lac Quoi, Luong An Tra, Ta Danh.
