Provincial Party Secretary meets with former provincial leaders to inform about outstanding results in the first quarter of 2025

At the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary informed about the implementation of tasks and outstanding results achieved in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the first quarter of 2025. Information on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient in the spirit of Conclusion No. 121 of the Central Executive Committee; the arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and communal levels, organizational work according to the Central's policy and key tasks that need to be focused on in the coming time.

In terms of economy, the gross domestic product (GRDP) of the province in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated to increase by 6.76%, of which the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.45%, industry and construction increased by 6.66%, and services increased by 8.93% over the same period. In the tourism sector, the whole province welcomed 2.6 million visitors, with revenue reaching over VND 7,000 billion (25%), up 16.24% over the same period. State budget revenue as of April 18 reached VND 3,645 billion (over 35% of the annual plan). During the quarter, the province had 7 more non-budget investment projects certified for registration and approved for investment policy with a total registered capital of over VND 1,500 billion.

The Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee also led, directed and completed the project of not organizing district-level administrative units, rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units to ensure progress. Led and directed the organization of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Thuan province in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification to ensure practicality, effectiveness and meaning. At the same time, step up the implementation of the project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province; focus on building and repairing houses for people with revolutionary contributions...

The conference also recorded many enthusiastic contributions from former provincial leaders, including the tasks of arranging and streamlining the provincial and communal apparatus; grasping the thoughts, feelings and aspirations of cadres, civil servants and public employees; adjusting land use planning and plans; building digital government, removing obstacles for a number of projects, and resolving the legitimate needs of people and businesses in the coming time.

After listening to comments, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh said that regarding the proposed names of communes, wards, special zones and political-administrative centers of 45 commune-level administrative units, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee received a lot of information, including some conflicting information. With their functions, tasks and powers, with affection and responsibility, the collective leadership of the province, departments, branches, sectors and cadres, civil servants and public employees in the province are currently working with a very urgent spirit, working day and night, without days off or Sundays. The province will continue to focus on doing its best to improve the material and spiritual life of the people in the spirit of serving the people, for the development of the homeland, for the benefit of the nation and people.
