Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Phi Long works with Meiko Corporation of Japan

On the afternoon of October 30, Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, worked with Meiko Corporation of Japan. Attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, and sectors, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh city; representatives of Da Hop Trading Joint Stock Company - the investor of the Industrial Park (IP) on the left bank of the Da River.

Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Atsushi Sakate, Permanent Vice President of Meiko Corporation of Japan, reported on the implementation of the project of the factory for manufacturing and processing electronic printed circuit boards (PCBs) at the Song Da Left Bank Industrial Park. Accordingly, after starting construction in April 2024, the project urgently carried out construction-related tasks, legal procedures related to the environment, wastewater treatment, recruitment, etc. to put the project into operation on schedule as registered.

Currently, the project implementation is facing some difficulties and obstacles. Meiko Group proposes and recommends that the province consider and support investors in some issues related to accelerating the planning of Hoa Binh city zoning, detailed planning of the Da River Left Bank Industrial Park, including increasing the height of the building to 5 floors; adding land fund for increasing the capacity of the centralized wastewater treatment plant to 10,000 m3/day and night. Propose to put the current centralized wastewater treatment plant of the Industrial Park into official operation no later than December 2024 to meet the sample production plan of Mekio Hoa Binh Electronics Co., Ltd. Early handover of the centralized wastewater treatment plant to the operating management unit; promptly carry out procedures for adjusting environmental impact assessment and environmental license when increasing the capacity of the plant.

Concluding the working session, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Working Group headed by the Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and Hoa Binh city to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in project implementation, ensuring smooth and proper investment in the coming time. Assign the People's Committee of Hoa Binh city to coordinate with Mekio Hoa Binh Electronics Co., Ltd. and the investor of Da Hop infrastructure to speed up the progress of Hoa Binh city zoning plan and detailed planning of the Da River Left Bank Industrial Park. The Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee led the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to develop a mechanism for handing over the centralized wastewater treatment plant to the operating management unit, which is the investor of Da Hop infrastructure.
