Liu Xiao Ling Tong also posted a photo with Dai Ying Lu to reminisce about the time he worked with the screenwriter in Journey to the West 1986. For the actor, artist Dai Ying Lu was both a teacher and a friend whom he cherished very much.

He was saddened that all three talented screenwriters of Journey to the West had passed away. The two remaining writers were Yang Jie and Zhou Yuqing: "Teacher Dai has passed away. The three talented and passionate screenwriters of Journey to the West 1986 and the Chinese film industry are no more."

Yang Jie, Dai Yinglu and Zhou Yiqing are talented screenwriters who have successfully adapted Wu Cheng'en's classic novel Journey to the West into a film in China. The working principle of all three is "respecting the original and carefully renewing". Journey to the West is successful thanks to the deep understanding and comprehension of the three screenwriters.

Two of screenwriter Dai Yinglu's collaborators passed away many years ago. Director and screenwriter Yang Jie passed away in 2017, and Zhou Yuqing passed away in 2019.

Dai Yinglu was born in Heilongjiang Province, graduated from Heilongjiang University with a degree in Chinese, and later worked at the China Peking Opera Institute. He wrote scripts for many stage productions.

Journey to the West was filmed in 1982, filmed for 6 years and premiered in 1986. The film features a main cast including Liu Xiao Ling Tong, Ma De Hua, Chi Zhong Rui, Xu Shao Hua... This is the work that holds the record for the most re-aired film in China (more than 3000 times) thanks to its rich content and artistic value. To this day, the film still has a lasting vitality, appealing to many generations.
