Attending the conference were comrades: Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi Loc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Do Thi Minh Hoa, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of departments, branches and member organizations.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the system of Fatherland Fronts at all levels in the province has made many innovations in implementing emulation movements and campaigns. Notably, the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" has resulted in 1,818 houses being eliminated in 2024, and nearly 5,000 houses expected to be eliminated in 2025. In the period of 2019-2023, the whole province has supported the construction and repair of 1,680 Great Solidarity houses, with a total value of over 76.6 billion VND.
The provincial Fatherland Front also effectively coordinated with organizations in propagating and mobilizing people to implement planning, renovate residential areas, and build infrastructure. Thereby, people donated more than 126.7 hectares of land, contributed over 534,000 working days, dredged 520km of canals, renovated and repaired more than 537km of rural roads, contributed nearly 11.6 billion VND and built 634 models of self-managed residential areas.
The movement “The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind” has been widely deployed, associated with the mobilization of the Fund “For the Poor”. In the past 5 years, the Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels has awarded more than 30,000 gifts worth over 13.1 billion VND; supported the construction of 1,901 houses (total value of over 98 billion VND) and 01 community cultural house worth 300 million VND.
At the Conference, Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, briefly informed about the socio -economic situation in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2025; updated the policy on implementing the expressways Cho Moi - Bac Kan City and Bac Kan - Cao Bang; and oriented the merger of Bac Kan province with Thai Nguyen province in the coming time.
Many presentations at the conference shared experiences in building new rural areas associated with civilized urban areas, supervision work, social criticism, promoting the role of the grassroots Front, implementing self-management models and emulation movements for the poor.
In her speech, Comrade Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, praised the contributions of the Fatherland Front system at all levels, and emphasized the pioneering role of the Fatherland Front in propaganda, mobilization and supervision at the grassroots level. She requested the Front to continue to widely implement patriotic emulation movements, spread typical advanced examples in the community; proactively and effectively carry out the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to improving people's lives and completing the targets before the province's merger.
On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 collectives and 19 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025./.
