On May 19, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for urban renovation and construction of a memorial site for Vice President Nguyen Sinh Sac - father of President Ho Chi Minh .

Former President Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and leaders of Binh Duong province and neighboring provinces and cities attended the ceremony.

The urban beautification project and memorial site of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac have a total area of ​​3.6 hectares, located in Phu Cuong ward, the central area of ​​Thu Dau Mot city.

Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee - said that the project has the meaningof educating the tradition of remembering the source of drinking water, preserving the cultural identity of the nation, showing the respect and gratitude of Binh Duong people for the merits and noble personality of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac.

He gave birth to and raised President Ho Chi Minh and spread patriotism to all classes of people across the country, including the people in Binh Duong province.

The memorial area of ​​Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac was selected for an architectural design with optimal design, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics and cultural significance.

The project is implemented in the direction of open, harmonious space, suitable for the architecture of Hoi Khanh Pagoda, combined with urban beautification. Thereby, it not only has a commemorative meaning but also forms a complex of sacred cultural and historical space and a clean, green park to serve the people.

The urban beautification project and construction of a memorial site for Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac will be implemented in the 2025-2028 period with a total cost of more than 321 billion VND.

The main items of the project include: church and ceremonial house, exhibition space recreating the life and career of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac, square, urban landscape infrastructure with synchronous renovation...

The place where Nguyen Sinh Sac lived the longest during his journey to the South.

The memorial site of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac in Binh Duong province was built adjacent to Hoi Khanh pagoda.

Hoi Khanh Pagoda is where Nguyen Sinh Sac lived and worked for the longest time during his journey from Nghe An to the South. He lived in Binh Duong from 1923 to 1926, before moving to live and die in Dong Thap.

During this time, Nguyen Sinh Sac, together with patriotic scholars and monks, founded the Patriotic Honor Association. Through teaching, medicine, and medical treatment, the association spread patriotic ideas to the people.

With deep affection for Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac, every year on the 27th day of the 10th lunar month, the Organizing Committee of major holidays of Binh Duong province holds a death anniversary of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac at Hoi Khanh pagoda.
