Binh Phuoc starts construction of highway connecting with Dak Nong

Component project 1 - construction of the main route of Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway has been approved by the Prime Minister for investment under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. This is the most important component project of the entire project with a total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND.

Leaders of Binh Phuoc province and delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the expressway project.

The project has a total route length of about 124.13km (the section through Dak Nong is about 23.1km long, the section through Binh Phuoc is about 101.03km long), planned scale of 6 lanes, design speed of 120km/h. This is an important route connecting the Central Highlands with the Southeast.

The project is divided into 5 sub-projects. In which, sub-project 1, the construction of the main route of the expressway, is implemented under the form of public-private partnership (PPP) chaired by the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province. In addition, Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc each carry out two sub-projects on site clearance and construction of service roads and overpasses across the locality.

The total investment of the project is about 19,965 billion VND. Of which, the state capital is 6,842 billion VND from the increased central budget revenue in 2022. The capital mobilized by investors is about 12,134 billion VND (excluding loan interest of 989 billion VND). The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2027.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee, emphasized the significance of the event in the atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), demonstrating the spirit of drastic, urgent and effective work of the Party Committee, government, people and army of Binh Phuoc province.

In order for the project to be completed in 2026 and put into operation in 2027 as required by the Government, the Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches to continue to closely coordinate with central ministries and branches to receive maximum support in terms of law and technology, ensuring the project is implemented on schedule and of the highest quality.
