The report on the situation and results of the implementation of tasks in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee to the National Assembly Chairman and the working delegation stated: In 2022, as soon as the Covid-19 epidemic was basically under control, Binh Thuan province actively implemented programs and plans to recover and develop the economy. Thanks to that, the province's economy recovered quickly, especially the three pillars: Industry, tourism and agriculture, in which tourism has many improvements.

Industrial production continued to grow; agricultural production remained stable. Trade, service, tourism, transportation, import and export activities returned to normal and smooth, state budget revenue exceeded 33.13% of the estimate.

The quality of education and training is maintained stably. Cultural - artistic, information - communication activities have positive changes; physical training and sports activities have developed. Political security is stable, social order and safety in the province are maintained. The movement "All people protect national security" is increasingly effective...

However, the results of economic and social recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic have not been as expected, such as: Construction and adjustment of planning types are still slow; the determination of specific land prices still has many obstacles and inadequacies that have not been resolved; production and business activities of enterprises and people's lives are still facing difficulties due to high prices of materials, gasoline and oil; land and mineral management has not had many changes, illegal construction on agricultural land, encroachment on public land and project land has not been prevented or handled promptly...

Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated Binh Thuan province for successfully organizing the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" on the evening of March 25. The Opening Ceremony was carefully and elaborately prepared by the province in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with many impressive performances. At the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman basically agreed with the report of the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee and the opinions expressed at the meeting. At the beginning of the term, the National Assembly Party Delegation advised and submitted to the Politburo for promulgation of Conclusion No. 19/KL/TW on the orientation of the law-making program for the 15th National Assembly. Sharing this, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Party Committee to promptly study and promulgate a program from now until the end of the term to review and perfect policies and guidelines in the area, as a basis for the Provincial People's Council to concretize them into resolutions for implementation.

Regarding planning, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized that this is the most prominent issue in recent times. The National Assembly has issued resolutions on planning. Binh Thuan needs to urgently complete the dossier, submit for approval and effectively implement the planning of Binh Thuan province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, review and study carefully to ensure compliance with regional and national planning. Thereby, exploiting and promoting the highest potential and advantages of the province on the basis of developing and maximizing the exploitation of existing infrastructure, developing dynamic regions.

“The identification of new growth drivers and new production capacity in many localities is still very poor, so development has slowed down to a certain extent. Therefore, Binh Thuan needs to recalculate and attract investment to increase the occupancy rate of industrial parks; and promote tourism development,” said the National Assembly Chairman.

The National Assembly Chairman expressed his belief that, from the previous "dryness, difficulty, and suffering", with the potential, advantages and solid foundation of quite comprehensive achievements in all aspects of economy and society that the province has achieved in recent years, especially when the two North-South expressways (East) are opened to traffic, Phan Thiet airport is completed and put into use, Binh Thuan will have all the important conditions to make a strong breakthrough.
