The conference was connected online to the bridge points of districts, towns and city Party Committees in the province.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee Vo Thanh Binh emphasized that digital transformation is not only about applying technology, but also about fundamental changes in management thinking, leadership methods and serving the people. In particular, artificial intelligence (AI) is the core technology, capable of comprehensively changing the economic, social, defense - security and political systems.
In recent times, Binh Thuan province has taken specific steps in digital transformation, such as: Establishing an Intelligent Operations Center (IOC), perfecting the "smart commune" model, implementing Project 06, piloting paperless meeting rooms, integrating data and digitizing records in Party and government agencies. However, to truly transform from awareness to action, it is necessary to understand correctly, act correctly and act early. The conference aims to provide officials and civil servants in the province with an overview, systematic and updated view of artificial intelligence; thereby providing initial orientation in approaching a modern, professional administration, serving people more and more effectively.
Presenting at the conference, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, said that in the era of technology 4.0, artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly important role in many different fields, from manufacturing to public services and public administration. The application of AI technology in the public sector and state management brings many benefits, such as: Digitizing records helps to solve a large volume of procedures, increase labor productivity, save time and costs for both people and businesses.
Mr. Hoang Nam Tien also shared many practical experiences and successful models domestically and internationally, and suggested solutions suitable for Binh Thuan conditions.
To develop science and technology, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien said that first of all, the leaders of Binh Thuan province need to change their thinking and working methods, and must be pioneers in applying technology in their work. In addition, the province also needs to further promote digital transformation, infrastructure transformation, artificial intelligence transformation, and AI application to better serve the people.
At the conference, delegates focused on sharing and discussing the role and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in implementing 8 areas, including: Science - technology and digital transformation; Propaganda work, raising public awareness; Development of high-tech industry; Urban development and smart transportation; Administrative reform, building digital government; Modern, organic, digital agriculture; Smart tourism and digital experience; Financial - investment management.
Concluding the conference, Binh Thuan Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed that through the conference, the province not only better understood the role and impact of AI on organizations and individuals, but more importantly, it helped to arouse a new mindset - digital mindset - innovative thinking among the team of leaders, party members, civil servants and public employees of the province. At the same time, it suggested many contents and solutions, including the application of artificial intelligence and digital transformation to improve performance and efficiency, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that after the conference, the Provincial Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Development and the Provincial People's Committee study the content shared at the conference, based on the actual conditions of the province to have appropriate solutions with the aim of promoting the province's work to be more and more effective, the economy to develop more and more, meeting the requirements of the tasks of the new era and new era.
