Ministry of Public Security: 16 provinces appraise assets of 413 projects of Cong Minh Green Tree Company

The above information was mentioned by Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security , at the regular Government press conference on the afternoon of December 7.

Referring to new developments related to the case that occurred at Cong Minh Greenery Company Limited and other provinces and cities, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen said that on May 8, the Investigation Security Agency, Ministry of Public Security initiated a case of "Violating regulations on bidding causing serious consequences; giving and receiving bribes" that occurred at Cong Minh Greenery Company Limited and other provinces and cities.

" Currently, the investigation agency has not prosecuted the accused. To have a basis to resolve the case, the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency has sent the Valuation Council of 16 provinces to value the assets of 413 projects. To date, one province has the valuation results, and some Valuation Councils are requesting an extension of the deadline for returning the results, " said the Ministry of Public Security's spokesperson.

Mr. Hoang Anh Tuyen stated that the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Security Agency is urging the Valuation Council in criminal proceedings and supplementing records and documents to serve the valuation request.

The police are also focusing on investigating and individualizing the criminal responsibility of related individuals to handle them according to the provisions of the law.

Previously, at a press conference last October, a representative of the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency said that through the investigation, it was determined that Cong Minh Greenery Company colluded with investors to participate in the construction of the bidding package price from the project establishment stage.

After the contract price is approved, Cong Minh Company will be designated as the winning bidder or use other legal entities in Cong Minh Company's system to participate in the bidding and win the bid.

The review results show that about 50 companies in the Cong Minh Company ecosystem participated in bidding for over 600 packages in many localities, with a total value of more than VND 3,500 billion; VND 3,000 billion has been paid.

Regarding the investigation of major cases such as the case involving Phuc Son Group and Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen said that the investigation agencies of the Ministry of Public Security are urgently focusing on investigating and clarifying the case to handle it according to the provisions of the law.
"There is no further information to provide to the press right now. We will provide the progress of the case at the appropriate time," the Ministry of Public Security spokesman added.
