Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to reduce the scale of the 2025 Autumn Fair Closing Ceremony

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent urgent document No. 374/BC-BCT to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for consideration and direction on reducing the scale of the Closing Ceremony of the first Autumn Fair in 2025.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , since mid-October 2025, the central provinces have been severely affected by prolonged heavy rains and floods, causing serious damage to people, property and infrastructure. Many residential areas, schools, and medical stations have been deeply flooded, traffic has been cut off, and tens of thousands of households have had to be urgently evacuated.
Faced with the complicated situation of natural disasters, with the responsibility of the industry management agency and the spirit of "leaving no one behind", the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to adjust the scale of the Closing Ceremony of the first Autumn Fair 2025 to clearly demonstrate the spirit of sharing and accompanying people in disaster-hit areas who are overcoming the consequences; aiming to use resources economically and effectively, in accordance with the Government 's direction on the special national situation.
Implementing the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son - Head of the Steering Committee of the first Autumn Fair in 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed that the Prime Minister consider and give instructions on reducing the scale of the Closing Ceremony.
Specifically, the summary will be organized directly, solemnly, economically and effectively at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, without fireworks; without live television or radio; and video and audio recording will be organized for reporting on appropriate occasions.
In addition, the content reports the results of the fair and honors organizations and individuals who have contributed to the success of the fair (The main content includes 1 opening art performance, speech by the Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Fair Steering Committee and by the Minister of Industry and Trade, honoring organizations and individuals who have contributed to the success of the fair, 2 art performances with the theme of autumn, love for the homeland - country and people of Vietnam).
The event was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son - Head of the Fair Steering Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade - Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee and members of the Steering Committee. Participants included representatives of leaders of central ministries, branches, government agencies, local leaders, enterprises, industry associations, and trade promotion organizations.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after the Prime Minister launched a fundraising campaign for the flood victims in the Central region at the opening ceremony of the fair, by the end of October 29, the account had collected nearly 300 million VND. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has sent an official dispatch to corporations, groups, state-owned enterprises... requesting that businesses continue to actively contribute to the fund until the closing ceremony of the fair.
In addition, the fair has attracted widespread media attention, with more than 500 news, articles and special reports published in central and local press agencies, and more than 5 million online views via digital platforms. This strong communication activity has created a positive ripple effect in society, contributing to honoring Vietnamese goods, enhancing the image, position and prestige of Vietnam in the international arena.
