Armed forces of Military Region 5 help people overcome the consequences of floods.

Faced with complicated weather developments, the Military Region 5 Command held an online conference at 20 locations to deploy flood response and recovery work.

According to the report of the standing agency, in the area from Da Nang City to the North of Quang Ngai Province, the average rainfall from 191.8 mm to 537.8 mm caused floods on rivers to rise, many places reaching alert level 3, causing flooding at 32 points in 24 communes and landslides at 34 points in 15 communes.

Faced with that situation, the armed forces of Military Region 5 proactively deployed response plans, mobilizing thousands of officers, soldiers, militiamen and vehicles to key areas to support the government and people in evacuating, overcoming consequences, and ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people.

Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai, Commander of Military Region 5, requested that agencies and units in the entire Military Region thoroughly grasp the "4 on-site" motto: on-site command, on-site forces, on-site means and on-site logistics, considering this as the foundation for proactive response, minimizing damage and soon restoring people's lives.

The Commander of the Military Region directed units to grasp the weather situation, clearly identify high-risk areas, proactively arrange forces and means, and closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities. At the same time, strengthen propaganda and mobilization work among the people, raise vigilance, proactively prevent, and absolutely not be passive and surprised in any situation.
