Border guards found missing victims due to floods

QTO - On the morning of November 5, units of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard coordinated with local authorities and families to find the body of a victim who went missing during the recent days of heavy rain and floods.

According to the report of Roon Border Guard Station, at 7:30 a.m., Roon Border Guard Station received information from the victim's family about the discovery of a body drifting onto the beach of Bac Gianh ward.

The unit sent forces directly to the scene with the family to verify. Here, the family confirmed that the victim was PQH (born in 1969, residing in Trung Vu village, Hoa Trach commune, Quang Tri province), the person who was driving the basket boat into Roon estuary that was sunk by waves on November 4.

Currently, the Provincial Border Guard is coordinating with local authorities to complete legal procedures, hand over the body to the family for burial; at the same time support and encourage the victim's family to overcome the grief and soon stabilize their lives.
