Provincial Border Guard improves quality of combat readiness training

In order to make training work more effective, right from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Border Guard Command has thoroughly grasped the requirements and tasks of combat training for officers and soldiers and identified this as a central and regular political task in the process of building a strong and comprehensively standardized unit. In the process of implementing training tasks, the Provincial Border Guard Command has focused on training and fostering officers, focusing on new content, suitable for the actual requirements of each locality and innovating teaching methods, methods of compiling, approving and approving lesson plans, building training plans and schedules so that officers at all levels doing training work can improve their knowledge of organizing theoretical and practical training methods in a scientific manner suitable for the subjects.

Along with the training of cadres, the provincial Border Guard also did a good job of preparing facilities for training such as: consolidating and repairing the system of training grounds and training grounds; supplementing, renewing and improving teaching aids, visual aids, etc. to ensure regular training and effective testing of subjects and lessons. Based on the actual situation of the area, border work tasks and training plans of superiors, the units have focused on improving quality and promptly drawing experience, overcoming limitations right from the first days of training. At the same time, attaching importance to innovating training methods and organizing training according to the motto from easy to difficult, from simple to complex, technical training combined with professional expertise and tactics, combining theory with practice. Training content is also regularly renewed, from professional work, operations, law and technology, independent combat tactics, thereby improving the ability to coordinate operations with related forces. In particular, the Provincial Border Guard focuses on in-depth training on contents such as improving political awareness, border work skills; grasping and strictly practicing the regulations, proficiently using the equipped weapons; mastering tactical forms to effectively handle situations; regularly organizing defense area training for officers and commanders; training and practicing flood and storm prevention and control plans, search and rescue, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters... Therefore, the training work of the units always ensures correct and sufficient content; the task of coordination and cooperation in protecting the sovereignty and security of the province's maritime borders is always well implemented by the units, avoiding passive and unexpected situations.

Thanks to the good preparation work, building a scientific , specific and practical training plan, the quality and effectiveness of training work of the provincial Border Guard units in recent years have been constantly improved, creating a comprehensive change in all aspects of work. From 2024 to present, the provincial Border Guard has organized a "one-sided, two-level" defense area drill on the map for officers and commanders; trained and practiced flood and storm prevention and control plans, search and rescue, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters... The drill and training work ensured absolute safety, 100% of the content was completed, and the number of troops participating in the training reached 100%. In the training work, through inspection, 100% met the requirements, of which the live ammunition test, exercise 2, AK submachine gun, 78% were good and excellent. The results of the live ammunition test, exercise 1, 1b, K54 pistol, 73% were good and excellent. The results of the live ammunition test, lesson 1, using AK submachine guns for officers and soldiers of the agency, 80% achieved good and excellent results. During the implementation, the safety of people and weapons and equipment was ensured.

Along with training, the Provincial Border Guard regularly performs well the Party work, political work in performing the task of training and building the unit. Every year, the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command also direct the subordinate units to launch and effectively organize the emulation movement to win; organize the signing of emulation covenants in conjunction with Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle and implementing Uncle Ho's teachings for the Border Guard; effectively carry out the campaigns "Promoting tradition, maintaining discipline, living with love, upholding responsibility", "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers". Organizing cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to celebrate the Border Guard's traditional day, participating in competitions and sports events, contributing significantly to improving political mettle, professional qualifications, and improving the quality of training work in the entire unit.

With the motto of “basic, practical, solid”; effectively applying “three combinations”, the training work of the Provincial Border Guard Command has created a positive and comprehensive change. In the coming time, the Provincial Border Guard will continue to strengthen leadership and direction of training work, improve training quality, and contribute to firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the province’s sea areas.
