Lightning speed to help people stabilize before Tet 2026
The Ministry of National Defense has just issued dispatch No. 7715 on urgently collecting statistics, reviewing, and synthesizing reports on damage to people's houses due to floods in the South Central region to agencies and units.
The goal is to quickly repair and rebuild houses for households whose houses are severely damaged, collapsed, or washed away, ensuring stable housing for people before the Lunar New Year 2026.
The Ministry of National Defense requires maintaining strict on-duty regimes and thoroughly implementing Official Dispatch No. 7527 on concentrating all resources to overcome consequences, restore production and business, and stabilize people's lives after floods in the South Central region.
The General Staff is assigned to direct agencies and units to mobilize maximum forces and means, and resolutely implement measures to quickly overcome the consequences of heavy rain, floods, inundation, and landslides.
Repair and rebuild houses for households whose houses are severely damaged, collapsed, or washed away, with a spirit of urgency, speed, determination, and efficiency to ensure stable housing for the people.
The General Department of Logistics and Engineering directs units to synthesize and report to the Ministry on damages caused by storms and floods to units; organize remedies to ensure good lives for officers and soldiers.
Assign Military Regions 5 and 7 to direct the Military Commands of the provinces, advise local Party committees and authorities to direct relevant departments, branches and sectors to promptly count the number of collapsed, fallen, or washed away houses that need to be rebuilt; and the number of households whose houses are severely damaged and need to be repaired.
Mobilize forces and means to coordinate with units stationed in the area and other forces to organize the construction and repair of houses for people, ensuring stability before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Units stationed in the area are ready to mobilize the highest force and means to participate in rebuilding and repairing houses for people affected by floods, landslides according to the request of the locality and the coordination of the Military Command of the provinces.
