The Ministry of National Defense deploys defense tasks in central and local ministries and branches in 2025.

On the morning of February 21st, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defence held a conference to summarize defence work at central ministries and agencies in 2024 and to implement tasks for 2025. Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, chaired the conference. Attending the conference at the Quang Ninh provincial branch were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; also present were Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command; and representatives from various units and departments of the province.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairperson of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, presided over the meeting at the Quang Ninh provincial location.

In 2024, agencies, units, and localities proactively overcame difficulties; leadership and direction strengthened the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in national defense. National defense and security education saw many innovations; the political tasks of agencies, units, and localities were effectively implemented in conjunction with national defense tasks; socio-economic development was closely integrated with national defense and security and foreign affairs; national defense capabilities, potential, and posture were strengthened; the strength to protect the Fatherland was enhanced, ready to firmly defend the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland, creating a peaceful and stable environment for national development.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, chaired the conference.

The conference determined that in the coming period, it will continue to thoroughly understand and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws on national defense and security; effectively coordinate strategic advisory work with the Party and the State on national defense and security and the protection of the Fatherland; strengthen the Party's leadership and the State's management of national defense and military affairs; effectively combine socio-economic development with strengthening and consolidating national defense and security, integrating national defense and security with foreign relations; strictly implement national defense and security education; and focus many resources on building the regional defense posture of each locality…

In Quang Ninh province, in 2024, the province focused on decisively directing and managing the implementation of central resolutions and directives from ministries and sectors to strengthen administrative reform and digital transformation; build and implement policies to ensure social security and cultural development; ensure national defense and security and promote foreign affairs; implement the theme of the year's work on "Improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture and people with a rich Quang Ninh identity"; and the economy continued to maintain its growth momentum.

In 2025, Quang Ninh province has identified key priorities for leadership and guidance, focusing on the continued strict implementation of the Party's viewpoints and guidelines on national defense and military tasks. This includes strengthening state management of national defense; improving the leadership and management capacity of Party committees and governments at all levels; and enhancing coordination among provincial and local departments, agencies, and organizations in carrying out national defense and military tasks.

On this occasion, the Minister of National Defense awarded Certificates of Commendation to 24 collectives for their outstanding achievements in national defense work, including Quang Ninh province.
