Adding the number of Deputy Prime Ministers, approving the dismissal of 3 Ministerial positions

On the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly conducted personnel work.

The National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on adding the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly term with 430 National Assembly deputies (NA deputies) in favor (equal to 90.72% of the total number of NA deputies).

The National Assembly then voted to pass the following Resolutions:

- Resolution to relieve Mr. Le Quang Tung from the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly; to relieve Mr. Le Quang Tung from the position of Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office; to relieve Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai from the position of Head of the Committee for Delegation Affairs of the 15th National Assembly; to relieve Mr. Le Quang Huy from the position of Head of the Committee for Science , Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly with 431 delegates in favor (equal to 90.93% of the total number of NA delegates).

- Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term (removal of Mr. Bui Thanh Son from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs; dismissal of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra from the position of Minister of Home Affairs; dismissal of Mr. Do Duc Duy from the position of Minister of Agriculture and Environment) with 418 delegates in favor (equal to 88.19% of the total number of NA deputies).

- Resolution approving the proposal of the Chairman of the National Election Council on the dismissal of Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Mr. Le Quang Tung from the position of National Election Council member with 427 delegates in favor (equal to 90.08% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

- Resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Van Thuc from the 15th National Assembly with 422 delegates in favor (equal to 89.03% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

Next, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh presented the Report of the National Assembly Standing Committee on: Election of members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Committee for Delegation Affairs of the 15th National Assembly; Election of Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly; Election of Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented a report requesting the National Assembly to approve the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term and approve the appointment of a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term. The National Assembly then discussed the above contents in groups.
