The Minister of Education and Training awarded a Certificate of Commendation to a female teacher who overcame difficulties and possessed a compassionate heart.

Recently, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, a teacher at Thien Ho Duong High School in Dong Thap province, was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Minister of Education and Training, Nguyen Kim Son, for her spirit of overcoming difficulties and striving for excellence in teaching and education.

This is well-deserved recognition for Ms. Tam's tireless efforts, dedication, and commitment to the cause of educating future generations.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, 39 years old, is currently a math teacher at Thien Ho Duong High School (Cao Lanh, Dong Thap ). In 2009, while teaching at a high school in a remote commune of Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province, she was involved in a traffic accident while encouraging students to attend school, resulting in the permanent loss of part of her left leg.

Refusing to give up, Ms. Tam diligently practiced, gradually regained her spirits, and continued her studies and contributions.

In the 2010-2011 school year, Ms. Tam transferred to Thien Ho Duong High School. With her perseverance and talent, Ms. Tam dispelled all doubts and anxieties from students and parents; she consistently achieved the title of excellent teacher for many years. Currently, Ms. Minh Tam holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and a second degree in English.

In 2015, Ms. Tam founded the Nhat Tam volunteer group; focusing on supporting struggling retired teachers, lonely elderly people, appealing for help for terminally ill patients, providing monthly support for disadvantaged and orphaned children, and awarding scholarships and health insurance to students.

In addition, the female teacher also dedicates time to participating in social activities at various organizations, units, schools, and institutions. She has also registered to donate organs, demonstrating a noble humanitarian spirit and profound social responsibility.

Speaking at the ceremony to present the Minister's Certificate of Merit to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Mr. Ho Nhu Duyen, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Deputy Director of the Southern Education and Training Development Center, Ministry of Education and Training, praised Ms. Tam's achievements and expressed his hope that her example would continue to spread strongly among teachers. This would contribute to building a humane, high-quality, and sustainable education system.
