Vietnamese and Cambodian Defense Ministers attend the inauguration ceremony of the Ben Cau Primary School boarding area, Tay Ninh province

Within the framework of the 2nd Vietnam-Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program, on the morning of November 13, the delegations of Vietnam and Cambodia visited Ben Cau Primary School, Tay Ninh province and attended the inauguration ceremony of the boarding area.

Ben Cau Primary School was established on August 22, 2001, with 29 classes, 1,027 students, 53 staff and teachers. Over the years, the school has always fulfilled its teaching and learning tasks well, with over 50% of students achieving excellent and good titles every year, and many students winning prizes in exams at all levels.

The school has actively promoted and educated generations of teachers and students about the good friendship and solidarity between Cambodia and Vietnam and the value of studying in a peaceful environment.

In August 2025, the school was given a 12-room boarding classroom area by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense , including: an IT room (32 computers), a library, two teacher lounges, two student lounges, and six study rooms with a total cost of 28 billion VND.

Witnessing the facilities, teaching and learning conditions and outstanding achievements of Ben Cau Primary School in recent years, the two Ministers happily expressed their belief in the development of education and the cause of human development in the border area.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, General Tea Seiha, Minister of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia, highly appreciated the efforts of the school's Board of Directors, teachers and students in teaching and learning. The General expressed his gratitude for the warm, friendly and solemn welcome that teachers and students of Ben Cau Primary School gave to the working delegation.

General Tea Seiha hopes that the school will strengthen education about deep feelings, friendship, exchanges, and historical culture between Vietnam and Cambodia.

The General wished the students to study well, be more successful, and become good buds for society, country, family and themselves in the future to contribute to building an increasingly prosperous country.

After taking photos with the Board of Directors and students, the two Defense Ministers and the delegations of the two countries visited the school's computer room.
