The Regional Command established a Storm Prevention and Control Steering Committee; mobilized nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers along with many ships, boats and technical equipment to be ready to carry out rescue missions when required.

Implementing the direction of the Chief of the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Region organized a working delegation led by Colonel Nguyen Tran Dong, Deputy Commander of the Region, to directly inspect and guide units in deploying response measures.

According to forecasts, storm No. 15 is likely to move into the Central region, directly impacting localities from Da Nang city to Khanh Hoa province.

Faced with that situation, Colonel Nguyen Tran Dong requested agencies and units to thoroughly grasp the spirit of initiative and urgency, absolutely not be subjective; strictly maintain the regime of command, on-duty, and combat readiness 24/24 hours; ensure smooth communication systems; fully prepare rescue plans at sea and in island areas.

Units in the Region have deployed forces and means according to the "four on-the-spot" principle, maintaining a rapid response force, ready to promptly and effectively handle any situations that may arise. Coordinate with the Border Guard and functional forces to propagate and guide fishermen to bring their boats to safe shelters; the units' ships and boats strictly maintain reporting regimes, strengthen equipment reinforcements, and encourage soldiers to be ready to set out to rescue people when the storm makes landfall.

Continue to closely monitor the storm's developments, be ready to support forces and localities when ordered; at the same time, strengthen barracks, clear drainage systems, and ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles.

With the spirit of "saving people is an order from the heart", officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 3 always determine the highest responsibility, ready to closely coordinate with the local authorities and functional forces to deploy storm prevention and control plans, support people in evacuation, rescue, and minimize damage when storm No. 15 affects the mainland.
