Ministry of Health investigates An Dong General Clinic's violation of regulations

On March 28, the Ministry of Health informed that the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management had just sent a document to the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health regarding strengthening medical examination and treatment.

Regarding the reflection on the violation of medical examination and treatment regulations at An Dong General Clinic (address 360 An Duong Vuong, Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City), causing negative impacts on public opinion, treatment quality and patient's economy , negatively affecting the general reputation of medical examination and treatment facilities and the health sector.

In order to rectify the activities of private clinics and ensure the rights and safety of patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requests the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to focus on presiding over and coordinating with law enforcement agencies to urgently inspect and verify the information reported by the press regarding the activities of An Dong General Clinic. The contents related to the above clinic include meeting and complying with regulations on medical examination and treatment practice, especially complying with treatment regimens and instructions; strictly handling individuals and groups in accordance with the law if there are violations, ensuring the deterrence of the law, publicity and transparency.

Relevant units should strengthen inspection and examination of the practice activities of non-public medical facilities, especially private clinics in the management area, to promptly detect and strictly handle violations of medical examination and treatment facilities operating outside the scope of licensed practice, and not ensuring professional regulations and medical examination and treatment procedures.

The Ministry of Health requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to publicly announce on mass media the medical examination and treatment facilities and clinics that have violated the law so that people can know and participate in monitoring.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requests the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City to step up propaganda and dissemination, and provide guidance on the implementation of legal regulations on medical examination and treatment for private clinics in particular and medical examination and treatment facilities in general in the management area; At the same time, raise awareness of people when they need to use medical examination and treatment services./.
