Fostering pride from Party history education

Youth Union members and students visit the place where the first Communist Party cell of Tinh Gia district (now Nghi Son town) was established.

To effectively implement Directive No. 20-CT/TW, the Standing Committee of Nghi Son Town Party Committee has issued many directive documents and assigned tasks to Party Committees, Party cells, and departments, offices, and branches to collect and compile historical publications. The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Town Party Committee reviews, guides, inspects, and supervises units in improving the quality of research, compilation, propaganda, andeducation of Party history. During the implementation process, Party committees from the town to the grassroots level have invited professional collaborators from the Vietnam Institute of History, the Institute of Party History, the Faculty of History of Vinh University, the Thanh Hoa Historical Science Association, etc. to participate in the compilation. The work of collecting and verifying documents, writing manuscripts, and organizing seminars has been carried out in accordance with the process; all manuscripts are reviewed before publication. Many valuable publications in terms of content and form have been published by Tinh Gia District Party Committee (now Nghi Son Town Party Committee), such as: Tinh Gia District Party Committee 10 years of leadership in implementing industrialization and modernization (2001-2010); Tinh Gia District Geographical Records; Tinh Gia District Party Committee through congress terms (1948-2015); History of Tinh Gia District Party Committee (1930-2020). Most recently, in 2024, the town published the book "History and culture of Nghi Son town" to integrate into the local education program framework in high schools. In 2025, an electronic yearbook was published to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the twinning between Nghi Son town and Dai Loc district (Quang Nam province).

The propaganda and education work on the history of the Nghi Son Town Party Committee and the grassroots Party Committees is carried out regularly, with many diverse forms such as political activities, organizing competitions to learn about the glorious traditions of the Party, and propaganda on electronic information pages. Every year, the Nghi Son Town Political Center integrates Party awareness training classes, new Party member training classes, specialized classes on patriotism, revolutionary ethics, etc. into the lectures; at the same time, it organizes for students to visit and educate about traditions at the historical site of the Town Party Committee (Tan Dan Ward), the temple of Grand Tutor Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu (Nguyen Binh Ward), the Nghi Son Town Martyrs Cemetery and many "red addresses" inside and outside the province, helping students understand more deeply about local history as well as national history.

With the synchronous and close leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the work of researching, compiling and publishing the Party history and the history of local Party committees has brought about positive results. In 2024 and the first months of 2025, many communes and wards have completed their steering committees and accelerated the implementation of the plan to compile, supplement, republish and publish the Party history. Nghi Son City Party Committee has also participated in researching and editing quality articles to serve the province's scientific seminars to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Southern compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students regrouping to the North (1954-2024) and the victory of the Ghep ferry (April 4, 1965 - April 4, 2024).

In order to foster and multiply the pride of every cadre, party member and people, Nghi Son town always pays attention to preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of historical and revolutionary cultural relics. In 2024, the town has implemented the investment phase 2 of the national historical relic of the temple of Grand Tutor Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu, with a total investment of 24.8 billion VND; implemented the construction of a fence around the temple of Duke Le Dinh Chau; established a project to restore and embellish the temple of Quan Sat Hai Dai Vuong. At the same time, coordinated with the Center for Historical Research and Cultural Heritage Conservation of the province to prepare a dossier and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a decision to recognize the Quang Trung Temple Festival in Lach Bang and Cu Lao Bien (Bien Son) as a national intangible cultural heritage. Nghi Son town has also prepared a proposal to include in the list of national intangible cultural heritage the festival of Grand Tutor Hoang Quoc Cong Dao Duy Tu, the festival of Lady Mai Thi Trieu temple (Ninh Hai ward) and the rice cooking competition (Hai Nhan commune).

The work of researching, compiling and educating the Party's history has been carried out seriously, helping cadres, party members and people, especially the young generation, to deeply understand the historical values ​​of the homeland and the country so that they can have firm faith in the revolutionary cause of the nation under the correct leadership of the Party. The results achieved in history education in recent times have contributed to enhancing political capacity, refuting wrong views, and firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new period.
