Training and updating knowledge of foreign affairs and international integration for civil servants and public employees of ministries, branches and localities

From April 6-7, the Center for Training and Fostering Foreign Affairs Officers, Diplomatic Academy organized a training course to update knowledge of foreign affairs and international integration.

This is a training course within the framework of the Project "Training knowledge and skills for cadres, civil servants and public employees working in international integration for the period 2021-2025", aiming to update new information on the world and regional situation, economic diplomacy, digital transformation, marine economic development... for civil servants and public employees leading and managing and working in foreign affairs and international integration of ministries, branches and provinces and centrally run cities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Dinh Quy highly appreciated the Center for Training and Fostering Foreign Affairs Cadres, Diplomatic Academy for promptly organizing the Training Course, in the context of the international and regional situation continuing to develop unpredictably and complicatedly due to competition between major powers, conflicts, instability in many regions and non-traditional issues, posing many challenges for countries and regions.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy also welcomed the active participation of officials from ministries, branches and localities, believing that the training course will equip trainees with new and updated information on the international political and economic situation, thereby contributing positively and effectively to the work of foreign affairs and international integration staff of the units.

The training course also creates opportunities for trainees to exchange and share advantages, difficulties and obstacles in their work, while enhancing connections and sharing cooperation in different areas of work.

Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Department of Economic Synthesis, discussed economic diplomacy to serve development in the new situation.

The trainees participated fully, seriously and actively exchanged with the speakers in 4 topics: Impact of the world and regional situation on Vietnam in ensuring national and ethnic interests; World economic and financial situation in 2023, impact on Vietnam and focus of economic diplomacy in 2023; Mobilizing external resources to support Vietnam's digital transformation process; Developing the marine economy associated with implementing, protecting national sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction at sea.

The trainees highly appreciated the teaching of leading experts in the fields, the organization, as well as the content of the discussion topics, and wished to attend similar training courses on international integration as well as other foreign affairs and foreign language skills organized by the Center for Training and Fostering Foreign Affairs Officers, Diplomatic Academy.

Training courses within the framework of the Project "Training knowledge and skills for cadres, civil servants and public employees working in international integration for the period 2021-2025" will continue to be organized periodically in 2023 for ministries, branches and localities.
