Brad Pitt wins lawsuit against Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt has just won a major victory in his legal battle with Angelina Jolie over the Château Miraval winery.

In new documents filed on November 8, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Lia Martin dismissed three recent objections filed by Jolie's legal team regarding Pitt's own assertion in court that Jolie had violated an oral and written agreement not to sell their shares in Miraval without the permission of both parties.

The ruling comes in response to Jolie's request to dismiss separate allegations Pitt made in a complaint filed in the case in April 2024. Pitt's attorneys claim that the two companies, Mongo Bongo and Nouvel, "entered into a written agreement in 2013 giving each other the right of first refusal to sell any of their interests in Miraval." The written agreement also "prohibits Mondo Bongo and Nouvel from selling their interests without the other party's consent."

Pitt's attorney Brad also asserted in an April complaint that any sale of Miraval shares between Jolie and Pitt was without the other party's consent. Jolie has 30 days to respond to the November 8 ruling.

"This is a clear victory for Brad Pitt, proving the legitimacy of his claim and once again the other side's claims are unfounded," a source close to Pitt told People magazine.

Brad Pitt (60 years old) sued Angelina Jolie (49 years old) for selling her shares in Château Miraval to a third party, Tenute del Mondo - the wine division of the Stoli Group - in 2022. The legal battle became crossed with another conflict related to the custody of children: Maddox (23 years old), Pax Thien (20 years old), Zahara (19 years old), Shiloh (18 years old) and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Jolie and Pitt began dating after they met on the set of the 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith . The two married on August 23, 2014. Jolie filed for divorce on September 20, 2016.

In August 2024, a source told People magazine that Jolie was "actively moving on" days after she ended a legal battle with the Justice Department and FBI over documents related to Brad Pitt's 2016 plane assault while traveling with his wife and children.
