The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27 with more than 1.1 million candidates registered. All candidates will complete procedures to take the high school graduation exam at 2:00 p.m. on June 25.

Candidates will go to the test location printed on the notice to complete the exam registration procedures at 2:00 p.m. on June 25. The exam has 2 test papers, corresponding to 2 subjects studying the 2006 GeneralEducation Program and the 2018 General Education Program.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , the country has 65 high school graduation exam councils in 2025. Each exam council has a corresponding code from 01 to 65.

Among the 65 examination councils, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has code 01 - which is also the examination council with the largest number of candidates registered for the exam with nearly 120,000 students, accounting for 1/10 of the total number of candidates nationwide registered for this year's exam.

According to the regulations on high school graduation exams issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, each province establishes an examination council, chaired by the Department of Education and Training, to organize the exam for all candidates registered to take the exam in the province. The Director of the Department of Education and Training decides to establish the examination council for the high school graduation exam. Each examination council has examination sites to organize the invigilation of the exam.

The Chairman of the examination council shall, based on the number of candidates registered for the examination at the examination council and the conditions of facilities and staff, decide to establish examination sites at high schools and other educational institutions that meet the requirements for organizing the examination.
