Speaking to VietNamNet , singer Quang Thanh said that singer Kieu Nga had just passed away on the afternoon of July 13 (California time). “Early in July, Kieu Nga and her colleagues performed in a music show. The next morning, she woke up and complained of a headache, suspecting that a nerve had been severed. Her family took her to the hospital, performed surgery, and then gradually fell into a coma,” Quang Thanh said.
Mr. Phuong Hung - son of famous singer Elvis Phuong - called Kieu Nga as his aunt and confirmed that the singer passed away after more than a week in a coma.

“My beloved aunt has passed away, leaving behind so much grief for her family, friends, fellow artists and audiences. Please join us in praying for Kieu Nga to rest in peace,” Hung wrote on his personal page.
Over the past few days, many relatives, friends and colleagues have been praying for singer Kieu Nga to overcome her illness. Trizzie Phuong Trinh is shocked and saddened but can only wait silently.

Singer Kieu Nga suffered a stroke due to a ruptured blood vessel in her brain. She was rushed to the emergency room in critical condition.
