Accordingly, from 9-11am, at more than 700 monasteries and Buddhist establishments, monks, nuns and nearly 1 million followers simultaneously performed incense offering and flower offering ceremonies, recited prayers for national peace and prosperity, and performed the Buddha bathing ritual.

At the same time, depending on actual conditions, during this year's Buddha's Birthday, monasteries, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in provinces, districts, and cities all organized to give away from 50-700 gifts (from 200,000 VND to 1 million VND per gift) to people with disabilities, lonely elderly people, poor and near-poor households.
