Cam Xuyen and Duc Tho focus on tasks for the last 6 months of the year

Based on the analysis of limitations in performing tasks in the first 6 months of the year, Cam Xuyen and Duc Tho districts ( Ha Tinh ) have proposed many solutions to complete the set targets in 2023.

On the afternoon of June 21, Cam Xuyen District People's Committee held a meeting to assess the socio -economic development situation in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2023.

In the first 6 months of 2023, Cam Xuyen district achieved many important results in all fields. The total production value at comparable prices reached 4,995 billion VND, an increase of 12.6% over the same period in 2022. The total social investment value reached 1,300 billion VND, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2022. Budget revenue in the area reached 100 billion VND. Revenue from tourism is estimated at 320 billion VND, an increase of 18% over the same period in 2022.

The whole district has promoted the demolition of small plots to form large plots with more than 1,857 hectares. The concentrated and accumulated land areas have reorganized production in the direction of intensive farming "1 field, 1 variety, 1 season, 1 cultivation process" for high productivity, increasing people's income by 10-15% compared to traditional production.

Implementing the construction of new rural areas, up to now, Cam Xuyen district has 5/9 criteria of new rural districts meeting the standards and 15/21 communes meeting the standards of new rural communes; 2/9 criteria meeting the standards of advanced new rural districts; and 5 more OCOP products meeting the 3-star standard.

In the land acquisition work, the district focused on compensation for land acquisition for projects in the area, especially the North-South Expressway project. In the first 6 months of the year, the locality completed investment procedures and started construction of resettlement areas to serve the project. The cultural and social fields achieved many important results, and security and defense were maintained.

In the first 6 months of the year, Duc Tho district had 12/24 targets achieving over 50% of the socio-economic development plan for 2023.

Accordingly, the total budget revenue in the district reached 73.8 billion VND. The task of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas has been focused on and implemented drastically and synchronously by the district. In the first 6 months of the year, the district issued policies and plans to implement the project "Building Duc Tho district to meet advanced new rural standards in the period 2022 - 2025"; building and planting 26.1 km of green fences and flower beds; planting 3,562 shade trees; renovating 769 household gardens and 175 mixed gardens.

Duc Tho has 14 more villages meeting the model residential area standards (to date, the whole district has 119/142 villages meeting the model residential area standards), 7 products achieving 3-star OCOP. The district also focuses on directing residential groups to speed up the implementation of criteria for building civilized urban areas.
