According to parents, yesterday afternoon (May 6), many people received calls from strange phone numbers. The subjects claimed to be admissions officers or exam data managers, informing that the students' graduation exam registration information had not been fully updated on the system. The scammers knew the students' names and schools, and asked parents to access a strange link to "check and supplement information".
There have been parents who lost their vigilance, accessed the link and logged in as instructed, leading to their bank account information being stolen and money being lost from their personal accounts.

Hiep Binh High School (Thu Duc City) issued an urgent notice to parents about a sophisticated scam. |
On May 7, the Board of Directors of Hiep Binh High School issued an official warning. The school emphasized that all procedures for checking and editing exam registration information are carried out directly at the school, through the homeroom teacher.
The school does not ask students or parents to provide personal information, bank accounts or follow instructions from any strange phone numbers or links.
The school also noted that the work of confirming information about the high school graduation exam this year is strictly implemented. Students will sign the confirmation on the official registration form at school, under the supervision of teachers.
Faced with complicated developments, the Board of Directors of Hiep Binh High School recommends that parents and students remain absolutely vigilant and not make any requests outside of official channels. When detecting unusual signs, parents should immediately notify the school and authorities for timely support.
This is not the first time that this scam has occurred. Previously, in April 2025, many parents in Ho Chi Minh City also received calls from fake school administrators asking for confirmation of level 2 identification codes to serve the primary school admission process. After parents logged into the fake links, many lost all the money in their accounts.
In addition, scams also include asking parents to transfer money to "support student emergency aid" or to "complete tuition fee exemption procedures", targeting parents' anxiety and desire to support their children.
