In the past 24 hours (from 03:00 on May 14 to 03:00 on May 15), the following areas: Lai Chau City, Phong Tho, Tam Duong, had moderate rain, heavy rain, some places had very heavy rain such as: Nam Loong 59.2 mm (Lai Chau City); Nam Xe 1 75.2 mm, Nam Xe 2 63 mm (Phong Tho); Ta Leng 151.2 mm, Nung Nang 105 mm (Tam Duong).

Soil moisture models show that some areas in districts: -1 are close to saturation (over 80%) or have reached saturation.
2. Rain warning for the next period:
It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, the districts will continue to have rain. Accumulated rainfall in Muong Te, Nam Nhun, Than Uyen districts (10-20mm); Lai Chau city (20-50mm); Phong Tho, Sin Ho (10-50mm); Tam Duong (20-60mm); Tan Uyen (10-100mm);

3. Risk warning:
In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams in mountainous areas; landslides on steep slopes, and land subsidence in the areas of Nam Nhun, Phong Tho, Tam Duong districts and Lai Chau city.
