From March 29 to April 4, the waves in the Gulf of Tonkin increased to 1.5 - 2.5m; in the Quang Tri - Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh - Ca Mau areas, the waves were 1.5 - 2.5m high. In the North East Sea, the waves were 2 - 4m high; in the central East Sea, the waves were 2 - 3m high; in the Hoang Sa area, the waves were 2 - 3m high.
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Linh warned that high waves and rough seas in the East Sea area pose dangers to traffic, fishing and other marine exploitation activities of fishermen.
According to the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, coastal provinces and cities need to closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and weather developments at sea; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.
