Underground 220kV power grid across Han River

DNO - The Department of Finance is receiving documents and procedures to approve the investment policy and investors of the Hai Chau - Ngu Hanh Son 220kV Transmission Line project and the Khue Trung 110kV Transformer Station project.

The project's objective is to form a loop connecting 220kV transformer stations within Da Nang city, ensuring close connection with the transmission grid of neighboring provinces. Notably, the 220kV Hai Chau - Ngu Hanh Son line is mostly underground, including under the Han River.

The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) has proposed the form of investment policy approval for both projects and the approval of investors without auctioning land use rights or bidding to select investors to implement the projects.

For the 220kV Hai Chau - Ngu Hanh Son line project, it passes through Thanh Khe, Hai Chau, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts. The 220kV Hai Chau - Ngu Hanh Son line section has an area of ​​permanent land occupied by the 220kV line cable ditch of about 6.334 hectares, of which the section sharing the 110kV line on land is about 1.956 hectares; the section sharing the 110kV, 22kV lines on the Han River bed is about 1.258 hectares...

Regarding the construction scale, the Hai Chau - Ngu Hanh Son 220kV line is expected to be an underground cable line, with a length of about 10.5 km. The project's operating period is 50 years.

For the 110kV Khue Trung Transformer Station project and the connection, the implementation point is located behind the Le Thanh Nghi Street Waste Transfer Station, the northern corner of Thanh Nien Park. The 110kV and 22kV lines are underground along the station operation line located in Thanh Nien Park land, then arranged along the roadway and sidewalk of Le Thanh Nghi and Cach Mang Thang 8 streets.

The project aims to connect and support the 22kV grid to reduce the load on existing 110kV substations, improve the reliability of power supply, and ensure the quality of power in the project area. The project scale has an expected land area of ​​1,050 m 2 . The construction architecture scale includes main items such as construction of a 110kV transformer station including a control house with a 3-storey structure, total floor area of ​​495 m 2 , height of 11.9 m; outdoor 110kV distribution equipment room and control and protection equipment, communications, fire prevention and fighting, internal roads and some auxiliary systems with an area of ​​863 m 2 ; construction of underground cables 110kV, 22kV along park land and roadways with an affected land area in the corridor of 1,668 m 2 . Project life is 50 years.

According to the Department of Finance, interested investors who want to register to implement the project commit to bear all costs and risks if the project is not approved; at the same time, they are responsible before the law for the legality, accuracy and honesty of the dossier and documents sent to competent state agencies.

Investors submit their applications directly at counter number 18, Reception and Result Delivery Department, City Administrative Center, number 24 Tran Phu, Thach Thang ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city.
