Gasoline prices continue to fall, RON 95 close to 19,000 VND/liter

DNO - On the afternoon of May 8, the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the adjustment of retail prices of gasoline and oil products. Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices will decrease by 380-660 VND/liter from 3:00 p.m. today.

Gasoline prices continue to fall.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline was adjusted down by VND380/liter, down to VND18,770/liter; the price of RON 95-III gasoline (common type on the market) decreased by VND410/liter, down to VND19,170/liter.

Similarly, oil products also decreased by 550-660 VND/liter during this adjustment period. Accordingly, diesel oil price decreased by 550 VND/liter, down to 16,800 VND/liter; kerosene price decreased by 620 VND/liter, down to 16,940 VND/liter; fuel oil decreased by 660 VND/kg, down to 15,530 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade continues to not use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

Thus, the domestic price of RON 95 gasoline has decreased for two consecutive sessions after only one increase. Currently, the price of this fuel is still at its lowest level in the past 4 years, equivalent to May 2021. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 9 times, decreased 10 times. Diesel oil has increased 8 times, decreased 10 times and remained unchanged once.
