According to Hanoi City Police, recently there have been a number of traffic accidents due to motorcyclists not using sun protection clothing properly.
Specifically, motorcyclists, especially women, have the habit of wearing long, loose, unsecured sun protection shirts, so the flaps or sleeves can easily get caught in the wheels, chains or moving parts, causing the driver to lose control, fall, and collide with other vehicles, leading to injury.
In addition, wearing a sun-protective shirt that is too long can also obscure the rearview mirror, obstruct vision and obscure the motorbike's license plate, causing difficulties in vehicle management and handling violations.
Through the above incidents, the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police recommends: People should choose sun-protective clothing that is well-fitted, neat, not too long or too loose. Before departing, tie the hem and sleeves of the shirt and check carefully to avoid getting caught in the moving parts of the vehicle. Do not cover your head, face or cover important parts such as lights, license plates and rearview mirrors to ensure safety for yourself and the community.
