- On the morning of May 5, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Cao Loc District held a conference to assess the situation and results of implementing tasks in the area.
Accordingly, implementing the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for households with revolutionary contributions, policy families, poor and near-poor households according to Resolution No. 188 dated October 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Cao Loc has so far completed the program with 18 newly built houses and 111 repaired houses.
According to Decision No. 270/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the results of synthesizing the need to eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses for meritorious people, poor households, near-poor households, households affected by natural disasters, climate change and other subjects needing support to improve housing, in Cao Loc district, there are 511 houses subject to new construction and repair, of which 359 are newly built and 152 are being repaired. To date, 15 houses have been completed, and 54 houses are under construction. The district strives to complete the newly built and repaired houses before June 30, 2025.
At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified a number of contents, focusing on the review of households eligible for support; implementation progress; difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process; mobilized funds for the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area...
Regarding the direction and tasks in the coming time, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Cao Loc district determined to focus on accelerating the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, focusing on implementing a number of solutions such as: promoting the role and responsibility of the members of the District Steering Committee in inspecting and urging implementation; enhancing the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the commune-level authorities, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process; regularly exchanging and grasping information; implementing the reporting regime in a timely, complete and correct manner. At the same time, the Steering Committees of communes and towns need to monitor, urge support, and grasp the area; continue to mobilize and assign forces to support working days for houses subject to new construction and repair; direct the resolution of issues within their authority...
