This program commemorates the historical milestones of the nation, with the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations that created independence, peace, prosperity, and happiness. Seventy years ago, after the Geneva Accords were signed in 1954, President Ho Chi Minh and the Central Committee of the Party made a strategic decision to send a significant number of children of cadres, soldiers, and people from the South to the North to continue their education, aiming to train cadres for the Party's long-term revolutionary cause. This decision marked a historical shift in forces, a crucial period in Vietnamese history, contributing to the struggle for national reunification.

The mobilization of troops to the North demonstrated the profound strategic vision of President Ho Chi Minh and the Central Committee of the Party in laying the foundation for building the North and consolidating forces for the struggle for national reunification. At the same time, the mobilization to the North became a symbol of patriotism, national unity, and the unwavering determination of our people and army, who went forth for a great cause, for the noble revolutionary cause that remains ever-shining.
The Thanh Hoa - Lach Hoi Port (now Quang Tien Ward, Sam Son City) was the first place in the North to welcome compatriots and soldiers from the South who were relocating to the North. Seventy years ago, this place repeatedly welcomed thousands of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, cadres, students, and families relocating to the North. Lach Hoi Port has become a place filled with memories of the vibrant days of study and work for the children of the South; it is a place that nurtured the seeds of "red seeds" who actively contributed to building a prosperous and happy Vietnam.
