The grassroots trade union always promptly cares for and gives gifts to workers, encouraging them to overcome difficulties.
Thousands of gifts to workers
The most prominent activity is that trade unions at all levels in the province have organized many programs to care for union members and workers. In the past 6 months, nearly 300,000 union members and workers have benefited from policies from the union organization's care activities on the occasion of the Lunar New Year with a total budget of over 327 billion VND; 650 programs and activities "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", "Union Tet Market" were organized at all levels of trade unions, attracting nearly 160,000 union members and workers to participate. Trade unions at all levels have also coordinated with employers and professional leaders at the same level to arrange funds and organize many trains, cars and planes to bring 20,228 union members and workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet; organized the program "Tet Tinh Thuong" to support hundreds of cases of union members and workers' children who died due to Covid-19 from socialized funding sources.
On the occasion of Workers' Month 2025, trade unions at all levels have organized many practical activities to take care of the material and spiritual needs of union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, occupational diseases and work-related accidents. Thereby, nearly 78,000 union members and workers have been cared for, with a total amount of more than 8.8 billion VND.
Currently, the Fund to support workers in especially difficult circumstances continues to visit workers who are seriously ill and die from accidents. In the past 6 months, the Fund has visited 50 cases, with a total amount of 466 million VND. Up to now, there have been 1,404 cases of workers in especially difficult circumstances supported by the Fund with a total amount of more than 13 billion VND.
Also during Workers' Month, many key programs such as "Creative workers, confidently entering the new era"; "May dialogue"; "Thank workers"; forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party"... were widely organized, creating solidarity between Party members and workers with the Trade Union organization.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhung, Chairwoman of the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union, said that in order for union members and employees to have a long-term relationship with Binh Duong province, in the past 6 months, together with the province, the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union has organized thousands of gifts for employees; organized recreational activities, creating a healthy playground for union members and employees. Through these activities, union members and employees have happy moments together, strengthen solidarity, create opportunities for employees to exchange, make friends, share and help each other in work and life.
Attention to propaganda and development of union members
In the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels have organized propaganda and dissemination of policies, laws, directives and instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) to 818,131 union members and workers; participated in promoting 341,896 workers to participate in studying to improve their qualifications and professional skills. The whole province has 1,822 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) in enterprises organizing Workers' Month activities; 50 new mass women's unions have been established; 1,042 new initiatives, models, and good practices have been recognized as valuable and have brought in hundreds of billions of VND in profits. The provincial Federation of Labor has commended 75 collectives and 394 exemplary individuals as typical examples of advanced models honored and rewarded by trade unions at all levels as "Good workers, creative workers".
The Provincial Federation of Labor has set a target of developing 70,610 union members, striving for most enterprises with 20 or more employees to establish grassroots union organizations. From this target, unions at all levels have proactively surveyed, grasped the area, actively innovated propaganda methods, mobilized union members, and established grassroots unions.
In order to promote trade union activities to the highest level, in the remaining months of 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to reorganize and streamline the provincial trade union apparatus; focus on building a team of specialized trade union officials with courage, intelligence, enthusiasm, responsibility, prestige, and the ability to dialogue, gather and unite workers. Build a trade union organization model in an open, flexible and dynamic direction to promptly address the legitimate needs and aspirations of union members and workers. The Provincial Federation of Labor will also direct grassroots trade unions to coordinate with enterprises to organize dialogues and conferences for workers; improve the quantity and quality of collective labor agreements; direct trade unions at all levels to develop plans to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year.
Since the beginning of the year, 131 grassroots trade unions have been established, with 30,722 new union members. Up to now, the province has 4,216 grassroots trade unions with 814,051 union members/862,443 workers in units with trade unions. Of which, 3,482 grassroots trade unions belong to domestic and foreign enterprises with more than 774,000 union members/822,138 workers; the rate of union members in the enterprise sector accounts for 83%. This is also an important highlight for trade unions at all levels to continue to pay attention to developing union members in enterprises. |
