Local residents, authorities and functional forces tried to approach and put out the fire, but because inside the 2-storey house selling diapers, milk, toys, and clothes for mothers and babies, there were many flammable items, causing the fire to flare up and spread, so initial control was unsuccessful.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, Ha Tinh Provincial Police mobilized many officers, soldiers and specialized fire fighting equipment to the scene to put out the fire. However, when the functional forces approached, the fire broke out big, smoke billowed high, making fire fighting very difficult.

Many properties were burned down by the fire.

Along with fire fighting, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force coordinated with functional forces and people to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.

By around 7am the same day, the fire was basically under control. The fire did not cause any human casualties but burned down many of the family's properties.
